Glad I went, kudos to Zygman.
I went for Prolotherapy for tennis elbow. I will need a total of 4-6 injections on the tendon..I had the first one..doc was cool, told me to lay off weights for 24 hours and then I can lift, but to be sensible on the lifts that directly affect that tendon..which I did...too early to tell the results but I feel a lot better already..although its a 6 month healing process...Im glad Im doing it..I'll keep you bros posted.
The ortho docs really should look at this...before dismissing it so easily...I have researched extensively and this therapy is becoming more common and everyone I talk to says its very effective. I have yet to hear of anyone with disappointing results...we'll see...again keep you bros posted.
But im already planning a deca/test cycle for Jan...

God Bless all!

Good to hear things went well, how many pokes did he give ya?

For those that have never heard of prolotherapy, please DO NOT confuse it with cortisone injections, its the exact opposit. Prolo CAUSES inflamation of the injured tissue and promotes very prominent and very permanent healing with little impact on your day to day activities. It takes a few treatments to generally complete the healing process but its well worth the wait.

One shot...painless...I asked him if he would sell me 5cc's and I could inject myself, he laughed...I told him I juiced...he also recommended that I bump my Glucosamine to 3grams a day..

Peace out.
God Bless,

Im surprised he only did one, when I went in I got a good 10+ injections, he really wanted to make sure the joint was solid and there was no weakness.

Christian, if ya get real brave and want to speed things up, see if your doc will use "sodium morrhuate" on your next treatment. Its a very powerfull chemotactic that directly attracts immune cells and speeds healing even more but does cause a bit more discomfort.

Zig, I have seen you suggest this therapy for these kind of injuries. Do you think they have a treatment for chronic nerve damage?

What are the specifics on your nerv damage? Whats the diagnosis and where is the damage located?

Long Thoracic Nerve. Onset was 11/2 years ago. At first when I would elevate my arm in front of me, my scapula would protrude. The condition is called winged scapula. It no longer wings but there is numbness in the arm ocassionally and always some pain.

Nerve damage is often something the body will heal on its own if the underlying problem can be addressed. Its not something that happens fast but it can happen. If your underlying condition is one derived from injury or something similar where physical changed manifested to deal with the injury then there is a chance prolo can help. The bad news is that the longer things like this go untreated the more likely the damage is to become permanent. Many people put off tendon/ligament injuries and mask them with meds for so long they develop arthritis. Arthroscopy is also a leading cause of arthritis. The docs ignore the underlying problem (joint laxity) and they go in and cut out the symptom (rough cartiledge etc) leaving the joint even more lax and even more prone to arthritis. Head to http://www.getprolo.com/ and see if there is a doc by you. Consultations are generally covered by most insurance.
