Project Lose Weight or Die...

First of all, I am not (by ANY means) a bodybuilder. I just need some serious help from someone who knows more than I know about diet & workout. I appreciate any input, and I appreciate your time & patience even more.

I am 6'4", 375#, 36yrs old, non-smoker. Actually, I've been "athletic" all my life. I'm the typical "gone to $hit" ex-football/baseball/softball player who just hit a rough spot and gained 100# in the last year. I like long walks on the...wait, nevermind that. In all seriousness, I couldn't tell you my BMI at this point if I had to. My daily routine is very flexible, so whatever you throw at me, I will likely be able to accomodate. My goal for the time being is simple...BURN FAT, preferably while gaining muscle underneath.

I've found that the more I read about diet & workout regimen, the less I know because of conflicting information. I don't have a fortune to spend on diet, supplements, and/or gear at this point. I've been reaching my protein goals with liquid egg whites & using Body Fortress protein & creatine.

HELP! And thanks again in advance.

Judging by ur weight to height ur bmi is probaby 32+. not good in the eyes but most. Typically weight lifters find this usless as it doesnt account for muscle mass.

what is your activity level? how often are u going to the gym? how much cardio are you doing what is your diet? those things all play into fatloss.

Don't stress yourself out.

Eat tons of chicken, lean steak, lean shredded beef (like 95% or 97% if available), & turkey. Add in green beans/broccoli/lettuce with each piece of meat. Brown rice, sweet potatoes, Ezekiel bread, low carb wraps (check out la tortilla factory, you can order online) You'll find you can't eat near as many calories when you eat healthy.

There is so much good info on this board alone. Plenty of good "diets" set out meal by meal.

If you gained 100 pounds in a year, you'll be surprised by how quick it comes off when you eat healthy & workout hard.

I wouldnt start exercise until you drop till like 280-300. Go on a really lean diet. Lean meat, eggs, oats, fresh veggies (green), fruits, no cheating! Low carbs, low sodium. Drink only water but a lot of it.
Once you hit 280-300 start walking slowly to get into it, then around 250 you should start jogging.

Oh yeah drop the creatine, all its going to do is make you bloat and retain water you don't need.
