Problems with 'The Bourne Supremacy'....

First I would say that Matt Damon does a stand up job as usual.

But this movie had problems though I admit to tossing a few drinks first:

We are supposed to like and root for a government assassin? I would bet that government assassins have taken out more benevolent leaders than evil leaders.

Guy runs and catches up to a speeding car? You know....the secret service assassin.

A secret service agent can shoot someone in broad daylight in Europe, show his badge and walk away from the police?

Where the hell was his source of income? He stayed in luxury hotels and obtained a world class sniper rifle on a moments notice.

The CIA is a bunch of clandestine killers who can and will kill anybody on a moments notice?

The CIA can find anyone, anywhere as soon as they go out in public?

My biggest problem was that we were supposed to like a guy whose life was killing anybody he was given orders to kill.

I think Robert Ludlum...the book author.....is a nut.

The guy actually watches a hollywood movie, and then complains about the lack of realism...

I read his books when I was in high school. Kinda unbelievable, but they were still good reads. I'd have to go back and re-read them and then rent the movies to see how they stack.

I wouldn't necessarily call Ludlum a nut, just rather inventive.

my friend who usually likes the same movies as me said the movie flatout sucked. Bourne wasn't anything like the character in the first one. I'm thinking it's because of 2 different directors

It simply is not a good movie though I think many younger guys would be entertained from it.

What you need to do is stop watching shitty movies.

lol.....I watched it because of the praise the movie received here on ef.

had to straighten things out.

Would have had to wait 20 minutes for I Robot. Not the waiting kind.

I think you are supposed to feel sympathy for him because he went to work for the CIA, but got brainwashed, and wanted to get out but they wouldn't let him.

I mean, that is the most obvious sentence I ever wrote but... you didn't feel bad for him? maybe you are belligerent while drinking? :)

Don't blame Ludlum

The movie has almost nothing to do with his books, except it uses the same name
