problem with scsi burner... not working. help pls

a week ago i lost everything on my computer and had to reinstall windows 98 again.. but now my SCSI burner does not work. my software says no supported drive and its not appearing in device manager.. why isnt windows recognising my burner?? i have installed the scsi drivers
any ideas?
and theres no conflicts

I've got a Yamaha SCSI burner that came with Easy CD Creator, and when I was running 98, I had to download a few patches from Adaptec/Roxio's website to get 98 to see the drive.

You might look for patches either on your CD-R manufacturer's site or the software site.
