Private student loan consolodation!??

I have a private student loan with a 11.25% interest rate!
I can not find anyone who I can refinance this with(because of my credit history) or consolodate. It it were federal, it would be easier. Paying a $150 a month at this rate, it will take me 30 yrs to pay off and almost 55k!!! That is outragous. I need help here. This is just WRONG to have to pay this much. any ideas on who may be able to help me here? Thanks.

Do you own a condo/house.. you can pay it off with a home equity line.. What about transferring to a credit card with a low rate like 3.9% til paid off. Much better than the 11% you're paying now...

remember you can write off the interest that you paid for the year.

Principal is in the 14 - 18 K range on 30 years. That's an off the top estimate.

anyone know how to pack two loans into one? I had aold school loan, and had to take out another(I thought with the same place) now I have two seperate loans. fuckers

Current principal owed right now is just under 11k. Monthly payments are anywhere from $125.00 - 150.00(thats all I can afford to pay). 11.25% interest rate. It is not a federal one, it is a private student loan. It is horseshit! I have no credit cards(shut them all down do to debt) and my Credit history pretty much sucks so I wont be approved for much if anything to be able to transfer the debt. I am stuck here.....what do u guys think?

wow.. you can get a student loan in CA right now for under 3% with no payments due till grad!
