I pull up at the Powerhouse to see two firetrucks parked in front of it....first thought was someone didn't use a spotter. Well I walk in and there are firemen in full equipment with masks and air tanks on the stair stepper. They were climbing 110 flights for charity.
Yeah, but on the other hand, its actually a rather nice gesture, both for charity, and in respect for their commrades. Sometimes it doesn't hurt to spend a few tax dollars on nice gestures.
If they were on duty, the trucks must be available immediately
ie Running in case a call comes in.
We had a few firefighters honored at our Church last Sunday then YES they were on duty and YES the truck were outside running with one Dude inside monitoring/guarding them.
Who is this Charity & what is she doing up 110 flights of steps? Is it the dog? The local hooker? The poor thing will never be rescued! They will climb & climb & climb but will still only be 2 feet off the ground! Somebody should tell them to use the elevator or stairwell instead.

Yeah how much fuel could the thing use just sitting there. They had their radios on and the trucks were ready. Plus they were already in gear and read to roll. I'd say they were more prepared than they wouldve been at the firehouse.
