Logging on to elitefitness.com and acting as if it's a good thing to take 20 different meds because you're fucked up in the head-

IDIOTIC

Seriously, is it the 'in' thing to be fucked in the head nowadays or what?

I interpreted that to mean that taking lots of drugs and then bragging about it is fucked up...which it is.

Who on here has bragged about taking all sorts of psych meds? sk* is the only one I can think of who comes even remotely close.

Not really. Psych = mind = head. Maybe you meant something different.

Some people have a reason to take a med or 2 but damn, it seems like the more benzo's you take the cooler you are.

Whats even worse is needing them and not taking them.. and unfortunately, I feel a lot more Elitians suffer from that, than from taking to many and bragging about it.

I'm not going to argue semantics here- we both know what you said -that taking a lot of meds was "fucked in the head". I'll agree that 20 different medications (although I know you didn't mean that number literally) would be a bit overboard, so maybe we're not disagreed at all. But I do wonder who you're referring to. I've talked about being on meds on several threads, yet I wouldn't fit into the category you described, so who does?

That's pretty much what I meant.

It seems like since steroids can be used as a quick fix people assume psych. meds will be a quick fix as well. This is just my opinion, but I think the latter are the drugs that catch up to you in the long run and really fuck you over.

LOL. True. Ironically it's more socially acceptable to tell everybody about the six pack you drink every day after work than to talk about the FDA approved, precisely dosed, dr. prescribed pill that you take once or twice a day. Not that I find that surprising, but it's kind of funny when you think about it.

I see where you're coming from, but it seems like most people I talk to are very hesitant to go to a dr. about chronic depression, rather than chomping at the bit to get on some Prozac (or whatever).

I dont think most people are popping MAO inhibitors for recreational reasons. Plus mixing them with a lot of the shit that people take on this board is just begging for health problems, because MAO inhibitors have interactions with TONS of shit. Plus its not effective if you dont use it for a long time.

I dont think that benzo's are really rampant for recreational use as much as people'd like to think. I like them to kick back and relax, or to help sleep, but daily use is definitely out of the question.

The only thing I'd do every day would be the 'gritchy' green. I expect it to be at least "medically" legal in all the states in the next 3-5 years. Thank God that Nevada is trying to push for decriminalization for under 3 ounces this November. Just think of the new Las Vegas signs "Welcome to Las Vegas, the land of Whores, Poker, & Joints", I might have to move, lol.
