Pre-workout drink

What do people drink right before working out and during working out. I have been mixing creatine, glutamine and a high carb drink (accelerade) before every workout but was wondering if all this is worth it.
 
Deciding what to take for pre-workout depends on your goals.

Just keep in mind that calories before training will stop any fat loss that might occur during trianing. Also, sugars can suppress an increase in free testosterone and IGF-1 while lifting weights. It would be much more advantageous to train on an empty stomach to illicit a better hormone release in your body.

Consider taking pure glutamine with water before weight training.
 
I have been told not to take glutamine and creatine at the same time? One before you work out, one after you work out? But who knows, im just a newbie. :(

The argument here is that ingesting one will interfere with absorption of the other.

But taking them together is probably better than nothing - and the interference is likely to be so minimal as to make little difference.
