Those are really good numbers for your weight/age. Looking pretty stout, too. I'd be so much further along if I knew then (at 20 years old) what I know now....

What has your training looked like lately? What is it going to look like? What are your most immediate goals? Your long term goals?

Looking solid and conditioned.....great progress with the lifts too....get that clean up to the 275 range and you'll be downright scary on the LAX field.

thanks guys..means a lot coming from yall monstas...

g5.0: yea, I have to say I have a pretty solid base of training knowledge just from playing football and wrestling and playing lax in high school...we had a great strength/conditioning coach and I was able to learn a lot...anyways...I train 5 days a week...pretty much divided into lower/upper and upper days

Monday: Power Cleans (no press), Full Back Squat (kind of like my ME Squat day for you WSBers), Romanian Deadlifts
Tuesday: Flat Barbell Bench, Push Press, Wide Grip Pullups, Weighted Dips
Wednesday: Sprints in cleats on grass field (some good ol 200s)
Thursday: Full Back Squat (DE Day), Deadlifts, Power (Jump) Shrugs
Friday: Flat Barbell Bench, Incline Barbell Bench, Ronnie or Barbell Rows, Dumbbell Rows
Saturday Beach Day: Bis/Tris/Abs - assorted bullshit exercises

biggt: yea man, I can't wait to hit that 275 and then hit a bitch or two on the rugby field haha..thanks for all your input again

Looking good, lifts are awesome especially at 180lbs.

Nice scars on the shins from deadlifting, too

thanks jim, keep up the good wurrk

looking great for 20, thick for that bodyweight too. To echo G 5, I wish I was where you are 10 years ago!

thanks hoss...yea man, I'm real fortunate, if I can ever get a hold of a camera I'll get some vids up

hows that hammy coming

Hey, just a quick tip on your pics. Find something to set the camera on and set the auto timer. That way you don't have the camera/flash in the mirror. I set a bunch of bunchs on the sink, with the camera on top. That way you can still see what you look like in the mirror, before the cam goes off.

EDIT: Looked at the rest of the pics, looking damn good and thick. Only thing I would add is maybe more back work? Chest seems a little more developed than your back/traps.

thanks bro..yea, I've never really worked on 'back' per se except for like power cleans I guess in high school...starting to put in more back work now, trying to hit them lats more. There's no doubt my chest is more developed, oddly I've always been real strong on the bench.

frontal torso looks leanish, but back and legs don't :)

You squat more than me now....although my deadlift is much higher, and that's a deadlift in olys shoes too, having a big ass probably helps :)

not sure why you tear your shins up - I never do and the bar does touch my shins. But I do line up the smooth part of the bar against my shins, I'm smart ;)

Nice numbers, especially for your age/weight.

What position do you play for rugby. I played back in the day, a fun game. The only game where you can punch someone in the face and the worst penalty is a free kick for the other team, if that.

You have great power beyond the norm for your weight. Excellent.

I'd say it is now time to move to a full body workout that will give
you more of a classic look. 3 exercises per major body part and 2 per minor. Rep range 8-10. Some type of weekly split in line with your recovery abilities.

Next body weight goal = 200 even.

Google John Hansen for some natural advice.

I agree with everybody else: Very impressive numbers for your age and size.

Personally, I'd take out the beach day and rest instead (or run if you're training for sport) Instead of isolated bicep/tricep work, swap 'wide grip pullups' for supinated grip pullups on Tuesday; that way you can handle more weight which should help with your lat development and you'll recruit your biceps as well.

thanks for all the kind words fellas...I dunno, I think I'm gonna stick with this type of split for a while jsut because its something I'm familiar with and has given me results...maybe I'll switch to a more BB type split later this summer...

dj: I usually start at wing, but I've played fullback and flanker as well throughout the season

haha...sorry bout the room, my sister was visiting this weekend

xblitz44x, wasn;t suggesting a BBtype workout, he was saying to get rid of the isolation work and add in more compound movements.

Wing was my posation, you get to score all the tris. I was a lot smaller back then but I had the speed. It was a bitch taking down some of the bigger guys but loads of fun. I miss the game a little.

haha yea no doubt..I actually like playing forward more although I had the second most tries on the team this year..love coming out of the scrum and hitting that flyhalf blindside
