Pre-Contest question...Competitive Bodybuilders only please...

Bros:

Need some help with my precontest cycle. I am new to this board, but no stranger to building natural mass, competing in bb contests, or cycling.

Quick about me: 6'2'' tall. 270lbs. 12%bodyfat right now. Began training 5 years ago, built myself from 185 to 230 with no drugs. Attached is my physique.

I am going to be taking Fina, Anavar, and primo during the end of my cycle. I am doing some deca, eneth, and prop as well, but that comes earlier in the cycle. I will be quiting the deca and eneth 4 weeks out, obviously for water purposes. I quit the propionate 3 weeks out.

My direct question is this: I hav never used these three drugs. I got shredded for my last show on arimidex/halo/winstrol, but need a hand with this next cycle. I plan on using these 3 drugs for about 4 weeks pre contest, but how far before the show do i quit the primo/anavar/fina? What doses have you guys used when you are completely depleted like i will be soon? For what duration did you use the drug?

I got very shredded for my last show, but my lower body was not as cut as my upper body. I think it was because i did not quit water retaining drugs far enough in advance. I am trying to plan this show so i come in dry as a bone, dialed in at 235lbs. I am a believer in using multiple pre-contest drugs at low dosages simultaneously before a show rather than one or two in a heavier dose, as each drug has a different reaction to my body.

Need some help here guys....I have gotten a few different ideas from others but need more opinions with reasons/experiences as to why.

With what you're using I'd do this:
Run the test and deca until 6 weeks out. At this point switch to prop from the ent. Drop the deca. Run Primo the whole time. Then at 6 wks out start the tren(fina) at 300 mgs/wk. At 4 weeks out bump it up to 450 mgs/wk fina, add in the 'var at 20 mgs/day, and also use Proviron at 50 mgs/day the last 6 weeks. At one week out drop the prop. You can run the Primo, 'var, and fina all the way up to the show.
You're having problems with your lower body b/c you have an estrogenic body fat distribution. You need to use anti E's the whole time. Proviron will help with this. Good luck.

Great post! I am also a competitive bodybuilder. I ran test till 6 weeks out then I went to prop and winny, dropped the prop at 4 weeks out. I have never used halo, tren, var, or proviron. I am fairly inexperienced, I have only done one show. I plan on doing two this summer. They are about a month a part, it's gonna be rough on my body. By the way you look great in your pic. I also am 6'2, it rough trying to get solid.

I'm getting ready for a show in April. I don't like using halo, but the best combo is Proviron, winny, tren, 'var, Prop(until 2 weeks out, then suspension until 1 week out), and EQ. If you are lean enough and drop your water right, the results are amazing! Good luck in your show.

THe show is week 17. Makavelli and Ulter, thanks for the input. After reading, this cycle, you probably have some questions. Why am i waisting my time with such low dosages so early in my cycle? I want to stay anabolic from the point in start my diet. However, i don't want to use too much too fast. I believe use lower amounts of drugs in the beginning, and by showtime, your miligrams (and the number of different drugs you are using) is at the highest milligrams/week since beginning the cycle. I want as many different precontest drugs in my system (all at lower levels) before showtime.

you are saying that I should bump up the tren to 450mg, but i forgot to metion I will use halo too. I have heard Tren has some water retention...is this true? I can take it all the way up until the show? I will take the nolvadex and arimadex to get rid of some of the water retention effects....however, i used them both last time and still was softer on my lower body. I will let you know, I am a HARDCORE dieter. I don't care what i have to eat (or not eat) to get shredded, I will do it. I lost all my fat for my last show, but still came in with a little less detail in my lower body. I was pissed. I have considered using a diuretic, like aldactone, but have heard diurectics will make you look worst. I don't know how to use them either. How can I get my lower body has hard as my upper? Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
 
Last contest I did I used suspension till the day of the contest with 80 grams of carbs the last 3 days, my muscules looked really full, The Last 6 weeks I would use 100mg of tren a day with 100mg of prop a day, arimadex and halotestin. the last few days before the contest switch to suspension and lasix.
 
sorry my cycle doensn't make much sense, but hopefully you guys can straighten it out to make sense.

What week are you in? How much more can you get if you need it? You need to bump up those doses right in the beginning. Adding more in later will give you the highest levels b4 your show. Who designed this cycle for you?
 
I am not even started yet. I start Feb 28th. I am throwing this out for ideas. I started with higher dosages last time, and by show time, i felt like i didn't have many more variables to play with as far as drugs. I dieted all the way down, played with my water and carbs, but didn't really change much from 2 weeks out until showtime. I figure, if i give myself more variables in the end (more mg's, more drugs) to include in the end, i will be harder and fuller. What do you think? My bro is helping me with the cycle preparation, and has done many shows in the past. I was impressed with his conditioning so I have fabricated this much of the cycle from mine and his discussions.

Well you have to work w/in your genetic framework. What makes one person a freak, may not do much for you. BB is about competing with yourself. Always beating your previous best. When I go into a show I don't think "I have to win". I think "this is what I'm going to do to be better than my last show". That's all you can. You can't determine who shows up. BB is a strange sport. You can't go out and beat the other guys like you can in football.
With that said here's my suggestion:
Weeks 1-10: 600 mgs ent, 400 mgs Primo
Weeks 11-12:400 mgs Primo, 300 mgs tren, 600 mgs prop, 400 mgs winny, 50 mgs/day of Proviron
Weeks 13-14-Same as above, but bump up tren to 450 mgs
Week 15-Same as above, but drop prop and add in suspension at 700 mgs
Week 16-Same as above, but drop suspension
Your show would be at the end of week 16. Aldactone and lasix can be used together to drop water.
 
About your lower body being soft. Use anti-E's all the way through and eat low carb along with using yohimbine and clen.
 
Thanks for the post bro. I look at competitions the same exact way. We are all in a different time period in our bodybuilding, and all started from a different genetic potential. You can only compete against yourself. Sure, we'd all like to win, and if you are neck-in neck with the next best, maybe some things like posing lessons, or better conditioning could have put you over the top. But all in all, you have only yourself to compete with. I was 218lbs at my last show, and not to toot my own horn, but there was only one guy there that was as good or better in the conditioning portion of things than me. I plan to come in at 235-240 this time with slightly better dryness.

Anyways, i will run this buy some of my bros, i'll let you know what they say. Only problem is I'll have to find somewhere to get aldactone and suspension.

Aldactone should be fairly easy to find and the suspension isn't too difficult either.

That sounds like a kick ass pre-contest run. I need to try to line that up. Let me know how you do on your show. I appreciate the advice! Tear is up bro!

All I can say is that I hope you aren't competing in the Arkansas or Missouri! I was about 215 on stage and I am between 6'1 and 6'2.

Yeah! I hope you're not competing in So Cal either :worried:. J/K It's all good bro. Doesn't matter to me, like I said, I compete against myself. I hope you do well and hopefully step on stage at 240!

Out of curiosity how many years of training do you have under your belt. The heaviest I have ever been is 253. You could barely see my abs at that weight, obviously I had a tad bit of water too (about 11 gallons). Good luck on that 240 by the way, that fucking large!

I'd like to know that also. I'm 6' and the heaviest I've been is 260 about 3 months ago. 240 shredded is a great accomplishment even at 6'2". As we all know it's harder for taller BB's to look "thick" due to our long limbs.
