Pre-contest/picture prep

Hi everyone!

I have been reading this board for some time now and just joined last week.

I am doing a 12 week type challenge on the net and have "after" pics to take the week of the 22nd... I have 10 days to get pics taken and sent from Texas to WAshington.

Ive read tons of carb depleting/loading, sodium restriction, potassium load stuff and dont know what to beleive or try.

Does anybody have any advice for pulling out the best of my physique for those after pics?

I am 5'6" and 129 (today) at around 15% body fat.

Thanks!

If i were you, I would cut out all the ruffage/sodium in your diet 1 week out, stop all cardio and all workout 5 days before the pics, the week before workout, I would do a full body in 3 days, the 5 days before and not do legs, I would make them not a heavy workout but more of a high rep workout, get a little glycogen out. I would cut my normal water 2/3's 24 hours out from the day of the shoot and just sip during the day. Stay away from any kind of diuretics. I would also cut my carbs to about 1/2 your normal intake for 2-3 days before the show and the day before the show, go back to your normal carbing, of course, that is all just trial and error and everyone reacts differently, it might help a little though. Don' t tan the last week and be sure if you are putting any kind of protan on or anything like that to scrub your skin real good the week of it to get all the dead skin off so the protan or whatever you might use will be evenly coated. If your nervous before the shoot, the number 1 thing that has helped me out before contests is (don't laugh, this is my big secret) is to masterbate once or twice before the shoot, you will feel very relaxed and it will show, last show I did, I was sooooooo much more relaxed using that technique than the other show's I did and this show was 10 times bigger. You might try to bleach your teeth also if you have any problems there. I dunno, just some suggestions, Good luck! :)

LMAO @ Ann! Sister, you're going to give yourself carpel tunnel;)

No kidding...that sounds like a very interesting thought process, Brick:)

Damn! I'm gonna have to try that next time! I'll need lots of practice beforehand though - it's always harder to perform under pressure :D

batteries arn't near strong enough, and the rechargable are even weaker than normal batteries. I personally suggest using a multi power step down transformer, kinda like one would use on a kids choo choo train, and simply connect the two wires to where the batteries go in whatever device you might have. This allows for more power and for multispeed and also you never have to worry about batteries going dead during that crucial moment. :)

LOL... this thread took a bit of a tail spin didnt it ;)

Thanks for all the info too brickgirl, I'll definately try some of your suggestions. I'll definately keep your "tips" in mind in the future as well ;)

thanks
