Prayers and or good thoughts requested

This message is from the Son of a Woman who works at my church in the music ministry department.

He is a chaplain in the war in Iraq, he's requesting our specific prayers and support!

I have his Email addy if anyone seriously wants it to wish them safety and well wishes..

Thanks,

As a transportation battalion, my unit will be delivering the voting machines and the ballots to villages and cities
throughout Iraq during the upcoming elections. (January 30/31)
Our convoys are prime targets for the insurgents because they do not want the equipment to arrive at the
polling stations nor do they want the local Iraqi citizens to have the chance to vote; timely delivery must occur so that the elections occur.
Encourage your friends and family members and those within our churches to pray specifically for the electoral process.
Historically, the previous totalitarian regime would not allow individual citizens to vote.
Democracy will not be realized in Iraq if intelligent and competent officials are not elected to those strategic leadership positions
within the emerging government; freedom will not have an opportunity to ring throughout this country if the voting process fails.

Announce this request to your contacts throughout your churches, neighborhoods, and places of business.

I will pray with my soldiers before they leave on their convoys and move outside our installation gates here at Tallil.
My soldiers are at the nerve center of the logistic operation to deliver the voting machines and election ballots.
They will be driving to and entering the arena of the enemy.

This is not a game for them it is a historical mission that is extremely dangerous.

No voting machines or ballots. No elections.
Your prayers, support and God's intervention are needed to give democracy a chance in this war torn country regardless of how you feel about the way things are going and why.

Thank you for reading this,
Thank you for your prayer support for me and my family.
Stand firm in your battles.

Blessings,
Lyle

That would be an extremely hard mission to accept but they do it anyway. God bless our troops and their heroic efforts in Iraq.

I will pray for what is best, but I've never understood prayer and I've read the bible more than once. Why would God need people to ask him to do the right thing? None of the explanations that I have received have been very helpful to me, I can find holes in just about everything. Especially, religion.
But I will say it now. "May God's will be done in Iraq."

OK...
Just wish these poor dudes and duddesses safe travels..
It is true that they will be driving/walking a gauntlett

wow, the anticipation of what may come is unbearable. i get shivers thinking of how the people involved are on basically what equates to a suicide mission. i pray that all goes well and that our government takes the precautions to protect our soldiers.

God bless him cause this is going to be some serious and risky mission. he may see some RPGs fying around.
