Okay Val, just for you, here's an interview transcript from pwtorch.com:
Editor's note: Hulk Hogan appeared on today's "Unscripted" on ESPN. The following are among the highlights of the interview.
-The show started with a shot of Hogan arriving at the studio in a limo. Chris Connelly, the host of the show called Hogan "the biggest name in wrestling today." The host said Hogan had some things about Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura to get off his "gigantic chest."
-Connelly introduced Hogan, who entered the studio and saluted the audience. Hogan said he's been busy being "the best father in the world." He said his son Nicholas constantly talks about being a pro wrestler some day.
-Hogan said he worked the XWF tapings "just for fun," and added, "some friends of mine are trying to start a promotion. It's called XWF: Xtreme Wrestling Federation.'' The host asked, "You're flirting with them, but you just won't commit?" "Exactly," Hogan answered.
-Hogan said he had problems with the "Jerry Stringer type of wrestling" that was being promoted during the final days of WCW.
-Hogan talked about wrestling as a heel. He said the fans were so loyal to him that they still cheered him. He added that the ratings went up because of him, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash.
-Hogan credited Vince McMahon with "giving me the ball." He said McMahon is responsible for his financial success. Hogan said his son is pushing him to get back in the ring. Hogan said the WWF is one option, while adding, "But I don't know, it looks like that XWF has its act together, too."
-After a commercial break, Connelly referred to Hogan as "The Babe Ruth of Wrestling."
-Connelly asked what is wrong with today's wrestling. Hogan said he doesn't think anything is wrong with wrestling, "it just needs Hulk Hogan."
-Hogan put over Triple H by saying, "He's just so solid." Hogan put over Triple H for being able to finish the match in which he suffered his quad injury. Hogan also put over Rock and Steve Austin as two wrestlers who are able to work through injuries and "keep the business going."
-Hogan put over Karl Malone's WCW appearance, but said Dennis Rodman didn't want to train for his matches. However, Hogan said Rodman did a good job once match time came around.
-Hogan updated Bill Goldberg's status, explaining that contract and legal issues are preventing him from wrestling. Hogan said he wishes Goldberg was still "in the mainstream of the business" because he could have continued to flourish.
-"I bodyslammed the entire wrestling world," Hogan said, "but I really didn't bodyslam the Hollywood world." Hogan said his agent has received several scripts since 9/11. Hogan said Hollywood is looking for heroes as opposed to "negative" plot lines.
-Hogan said he felt that he was the fall guy for the steroid scandal. He said steroids were being used in all major sports. Hogan also put over the way Vince McMahon defended himself during the steroid scandal.
-Hogan said McMahon paid him fairly. He also credited McMahon with offering him good career advice. Hogan said he wasn't sucking up to McMahon. Instead, Hogan said he has gained more respect for McMahon over the years..
-Hogan said he did not have creative control in the WWF. "Vince McMahon is the boss, no matter what anybody thinks." He said he was able to offer suggestions, but Vince had the final say. Hogan admitted to having creative control in WCW, but said he relied heavily on Eric Bischoff.
-An e-mail question asked what would guarantee Hogan's return to the WWF? Hogan answered: "A shot at Vince McMahon in the ring."
-Hogan called his WrestleMania III match against Andre the Giant as the best of his career.
-Of everyone in Hollywood, Hogan said he would choose Bill Goldberg as his tag team partner.
-Hogan went into promo mode when asked about Jesse Ventura. Hogan said he would beat Ventura if they ran for President of the United States. Hogan concluded with his "What ya' gonna do..." routine.
