PR that made me feel great

my training has been absolute crap lately due to various shit in my life and lack of motivation.

but today I worked out at school during my fitness class and through up the 80lb db's for 8,a pr and I havent trained chest in like 3 weeks

and I hit weighted dips with a 20lb db for 3 sets of four,when just 2 weeks ago I was only getting 2 sets of 8 on the assist machine with 100lbs on it,how I added that strength I have no idea,but it was fucking sick

just thought id share, and let everyone know that this was the motivation to sort my shit out and fucking get back on track,hopefully this will help the other guys in a slump
 
congrats! i know youll get through yoiur problems and be back in the gym in no time! thats happened to me before, i came back thinking oh fuck im screwed, and i just dominated it. good to hear your pr.
 
thanks guys,it sure does feel good,especially with all the shit lately,I cant wait to see the changes in strength and size now that Im back on track
 
Congrats on the PR bro!

I just went back to the gym yesterday and my strength was still right up there as well. On dumbell pullovers I got 5 reps with the 100lbs db. On dips I did 2 sets of my bodyweight for 14,12 reps each set. I'm excited to see what's in store for the future as I hope to KILL THAT SHIT!!! (hehe Stealing one there from the Beast).

Congrats on the PR man. That one of the great things about lifting that you can always look forward too.

Also you may have been overtraining your chest or just slightly overtrained in general and all your body needed was a littel break from training to compensate.

I like to think of the weights as my bitch. I respect them, but they're still my bitch.
