Potassium Supplementation...

This summer I will be working outdoors in the heat for 8 hours a day playing and teaching tennis which means tons of sweating and possible dehydration. Sometimes at a high level. I noticed that when I take gplenish I have extra endurance, and never get cramps. I am wondering if this is because of the potassium thats in gplenish or something else? I recently bought some unflavored whey so I decided I would not be able to handle the nasty flavor of gplenish (just my opinion) because I now take my whey with coolaid. So I ordered some other glutamine peptides from a different company that omega recommended. If potassium is the ingredient thats helping my endurance how much potassium should I take to replenish all of the electrolytes that I will be losing?

try using taurine for cramps

Becareful with Potassium as it can cause you to end up in the hospital...

Why? I've heard the supplementation isn't that great for you, but not to that extreme.

Damn...I've been taking extra potassium...I read somewhere(can't remember where) that it was good to take right after a workout... :worried:
Guess i'm going to stop doing that!

thats media contruct

sure with every meal maybe........and in copius amounts

but many athletes used to take salt tablets after a wokout when they were really depleted

we are made of water and need a certain amout of salts ( not just table salts) to compensate for fluid losses and other issues regarding the absorption of nutrients, and the like
