thanks! i found the scones in an old house re-cycling center in this area. dunno if they are new or old...but i liked them on sight.

the double fireplace resulted from removing a wall to make 2 rooms into one..each room had a corner fireplace before the wall removal. ( i like big living rooms!)

the floors are the original circa 1860 heart of pines floors. i sanded and varnished the floors myself....my contractor sez it looks like my refinishing was the first time ever done. they were covered with some paint and ugly 1950's sheet linoleum with asteroids and telstar satellites pattern...

i have some more period correct aubbison (sp?) area rugs ordered....those modern area rugs looked ok in my last house in the 'burbs, but are outta-place in this old house.

don't get me started on my house....i'll talk you ear off.....
