post workout shakes

i know theres a diet board but not everyone there uses AAS so im asking here. milos sarcev recommends to start taking the shake in the middle of your workout all the way through the end of the workout. any comments on this?
 
i take something light and quick acting pre w/o like amino fuel liquid by twinlab. since its aminos w/ some carbs, it should get into your system quick. i wake up then w/o...so i need something quick. then i go for the immediate post w/o drink of like 75 grams sugar and 40 grams whey. 2 hrs later i do a 100 carb (maltodextrin) and 50 protein (longer acting sources) drink. never got into the drinking stuff during w/o's. i mean really, 45 minute intense w/os....what the hell you need to drink during it for? drink before and after.
 
actually thats wrong. u r supposed to wait somewhere between 30 -60 minutes AFTER your workout due to insulin spike stuff. i dont know all the technical reasons......peace

well theres another theory. i attended a seminar that tom platz had and he said not to drink your shake til 30mins after your workout so the growth hormone spike will not be interrupted by the insulin spike

not "wrong", different than what you heard. more often than not, you see immediate post w/o to do so. now who the hell doesn't take 10 minutes to make up a drink, and another 10 minutes to recover from the w/o???? so its almost 30 minutes post ANYWAY. but still "immediately" after. i take insulin right after, so fuck that....i'm taking carbs within 15 minutes of that no matter what anyone says.

shit, i take GH and insulin post w/o...lol...so frag that idea for me personally. :FRlol: lets take into account we all take these compounds we are so worried about in excess to what the body makes anyway. at least many of us do. so these points are moot if you got a shitload of GH and insulin injected into you post w/o.
 
I Mix 2 scoops of Optimum Whey protein with 1 cup milk, Strawberries, and Ice and BAM it's the best damn shake i've ever had!

I truly believe that I made the best post workout shake today. I mixed 1/3 cup of 100% pure dextrose and 3.5 scoops of 0 carb strawberry isopure. Oh boy that was yummy.
 
I don't know if I agree with the 30 minute wait after a workout to get anything down. It's not like the GH spike is gonna turn you into a monster, I would rahter know I have some insulin, protein, carbs, and creatine heading for the destroyed muscles than worry about some miniscule GH spike.
