Post workout protein shake

I am trying to make a good post workout protein shake. My protein powder that I use is Natures Best ISOpure Zero Carb. My only problem is I need to add or mix this with something with carbs, probably around 30grams for post workout. My gym uses a concentrated fructose all natural mix in strawberry flavor by the 3vee brand which I cant seem to find. Would dextrose be better?

I like the taste of universal carbo plus 55g per
serving .

Why would you add sugar?

Because you need a high GI monosaccharide to restore glucose levels and spike insulin. Go with 50 grams dextrose and 50 grams protein; you can throw in 10 grams of glutamine too.

Grind up some oatmeal real fine in the blender than add the protein powder and some milk and u got carbs plus protein..You could also mix the protein mix with some pancake mix and have your self some protein pancakes....

Bro, that is basically what the isopure mass is, tastes real good (dutch chocolate) very mild flavor and dissolves very easy. Only problem is that it is relatively expensive.

Why dont you just use Natures Best IsoPure low carb powders?
The zero carb and low carb powders are the same except the low carb is the chocolate flavor and it only has 3grams of sugar in it....Thtat is basically what i am using BUT like twoguns said you need to spike your insulin level in a post workout shake so i need to add carbs...You have a 30 minute window to take in these carbs + proteins, most people dont know that carbs are more important than protein post workout
