Post Workout Drink?

Just wondering what you drink post-workout?

20g whey protein + 2 tsp aminoacids

My wife will generally consume whey protein (30-50 grams depending on diet) and maltodextrin (0-50 grams, depending on diet). When she is working on making weight for a meet, the protein is on the high end, and the carbs are at 0. When she is recovering from a meet, both are high, and as a general rule she will consume 30 grams protein and carbs, followed by real food about and hour later.

SEE dear I told you along time ago and the reason for the high insulin spike is to decrease cortisol levels. When insulin levels are high cortisol levels are reduced.

a good post work out drink would be
with in 15-30 minutes after work out
15-20 grams isopure
5 grams glutamine
1 scoop glycoload from optiumum nutrition

wait and hour and a half or so then cottage chese, some egg protein, some fiber and some may be a low glycemic carb like 1 cup of strawlberries or something like that

Myoplex Light Cappucino flavor with some glutamine added. 25g protein, 17g carbs, 1.5g fat. Tastes damn good blended with ice and plenty of cold water. I also add a tbsp of flax oil, which on its own doesnt taste too good, but when added to cappucino flavor is only barely detectable.

Just protein (either shake or whole food, depending on the day) when on diet, and 20-40g shake + 20-40g maltodextrin mixed with dextrose when not dieting. But next time I'm on a mass plan I intend to increase the malto mix.

VLC - I'd suggest you wait an hour or so before eating the flax oil - you want the protien and carbs to be absorbed quickly post-workout, and flax will slow the absorption. Flax + shake is usually best taken just before bed, not directly post-workout.
