post vacation weakness

any of you guys lift during vacation? i dont and every time i come back my strength goes down to the shitter(i havent thouched a weight in a week and a half and i got the flu after vacation),,u think fucking around with hotel's weights is worth it?
 
I plan my weights schedule so that when I am on vacations it is after 8 weeks of non stop training- thus my week off. Personally I come back strong as a horse after a layoff. If it's in the middle of your training schedule, it definetely is worth it - if they have more than just plastic dumbells.
 
I agree. Whenever I'm able to plan my breaks, I always come back stronger. But that's as long as it's not more than a week off, after 3-4 months of solid training.

I'd say if you're having to take off more time than you want from the gym, go out and lift big rocks if you have to. Use whatever's available. It's not the same as your regular workout, but it's gotta be better than nothing.
