post running drink and food

As part of my cardio routine I do run 3 times a week, 2-3 miles, and I was wondering what do your guys drink and eat after your cardio session.

I usually dring a protein shake mixed with a bannana...
 
I dont really know about post endurance workout nutrition, but I would always pound an MRP right after to get some carbs, pro, vitamins, and minerals that I need to recover.

So a banana and protein seems ideal to me.

Maybe some sprinters here could help here?
 
I'm a runner and post running nutrition for me is the same as weights: whey, dextrose (or grape juice), ALA, and creatine. :)

So a bananna probably is not enough as far as carbs..so add some dextrose and you'll be good to go.
 
whey + high GI carbs right after running

low GI carbs + proteins from "real food" 1 hour later
