Post hernia update

Hey guys. Tues the 6th will be 3 weeks since my surgery. I had the laproscopic with the mesh procedure done.

I started back working out out light last Tuesday. Its tough not to work out to my potential , Im sure you guys can relate!( not a whole lot of guys here who know moderation :) ). Not much pain but definite inflamation, not looking to tear the mesh out of place so Ill keep it light for a bit, but It has been a fast recovery! Just finished 60 min stairmaster and I haven't lost much if any lean mass.
The best part, took a few weeks off working out w/o feeling guilty!

Anyone who has a hernia, I definitely recomend this procedure! Thanks to 40butpumpin!

Happy New Year All!

Thanks for the update

I am considering hernia surgery right now. I went to see a doctor about it on Dec 29, gonna see a surgeon next week.

I had a double hernia as a child. I am not in serious pain right now, but I do have a constant burning sensation in my groin area, about half way down my zipper. I worry that will all the grunting and straining that I do, I am going to rip something and be in real pain. It is holding me back with my training, in that I dont want to go balls to the wall for fear of hurting myself.

Thanks for the feedback. I have been worried about a long recoup time.

Did you have the opportunity to get an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) as well? While they are at it, I want them to slice off the loose skin left over from when I was fat. Now I am around 10-11% BF.

I don't need one of those (tummy tuck), sorry, but I bet that would majorly extend the recovery time..... But the hernia operation, if done laproscopically, should be a quick recovery, good luck, keep us posted.
