POST-cycle insulin use for maximal muscle retention

New member
I am thinking of bridging between cycles with the use of insulin. Can anyone comment?
I will be coming off of a cutting cycle and would like to stay moderately lean.

My strategy:
I will begin insulin use during my 1st week off of AAS during HPTA recovery period. My dosage of humalog will be kept low--> perhaps 5-7iu following my morning workout/cardio session.

I plan on keeping my carbs low. I will attempt to keep following my diet as is (similar to JG super cutter), but will probably never fall below 50g carbs/day.

I would like to maintain leanness and muscularity (as far-fetched as that sounds).

Sup bro'? :D

Insulin is awesome and it is easy to use. It is very safe so long as you take in sufficient carbs. I have read of some actually getting stronger post-cycle with it. Make sure to keep fat intake very low while it is in your system and take in sufficient carbs from the time of injection until about 4 hours post-injection (the first 2 hours are critical). Also, take creatine and glutamine shortly after your injection. The Insulin will make the best use of these supplements. If you are gaining more fat than what you are comfortable with, smiply cut back the dosage a bit and you will also be able to cut down your carbs as a result.

Have fun with it bro' and you will probably not feel like you are off-cycle as you are taking something else highly anabolic. :D

Do not skimp on the carbs buddy. Make sure you are taking in the standard 10 grams of carbs per IU, with a carb and protein meal around an hour later. I would also stress taking in a bit of carbs BEFORE the shot, because if you are low-carbing it and doing weight training with cardio after your blood sugar will be very low already by the time you do your shot.

Do not fall into the trap of trying to tweak things to optimal levels...you take in the amount of carbs you need and worry about everything else secondary. (getting leaner, etc)

Have a friend around the first few times you do it. Explain to him what you are doing if it doesn't know. He can look for the signs. A guy at my gym took some slin went home a fell asleep I guess on accident. Dead. I don't think its dangerous if you just use your brain.

Not right off the bat atleast. If you are only going to take in 50 carbs/day then your 5iu shot covers it. However, I need to take in some more carbs at the 1 hour mark or I will start to go hypo. Take in 5g carbs/IU at the 1 hour mark.

No, that is still cutting it far too close. It is irresponsible advice you are giving this NEWBIE to insulin use.

Listen, 50 grams of carbs per day is near ketogenic range, this guy's blood sugar will be so fucking low after No carbs+training+cardio that a shot of slin will drop it....if he is using insulin sensitizing compounds like steroids, r-ala, it will only be more pronounced.

5iu is not very much insulin, but I strongly feel that you are giving this guy some really bad advice...I am reasonably experienced with insulin, and I would never attempt to cut things like that so close...if I want to lose fat, I'd do it some other time....

Insulin and super-low carb diets do not mix, IMO....despite the insulin+ketosis diet theory. There are better ways to go about it IMO...better, safer ways.

yup

I totally agree with Frackal. I've never used slin, however I am very knowledgable on its proper protocols, and will be using it post cycle for the same reasons. You can keep your lean physique with slin+carbs... just watch the fat intake. Your main goal is to hold on to and possibly gain some more muscle/strength... you can't accomplish that while getting leaner and using slin.

The low-carb slin use needs to be left to the pros... not for the norm.

Newbie, bro? WRONG! I am sure I could teach you a few things, kiddo. LOL, funny.

Bro, I am an experienced insulin user, and know my body well. The only thing I do not have experience with is using it for SPECIFICALLY this purpose. I just wanted to see if anyone else has done this.

And, buddy, I am on a modified CKD and rarely dip into ketosis.
Again, if you need any advice, Frackal, just ask. :)
