Possible Andropause (male menopause)

New member
Hi guys been around for an age but not posted for some time and wanted to make a post to see if I could get any constructive replies.

I am now 32 Years old 6ft Approx 15st (15% bf)
Been in the gym scene for over ten years and used to cycle gear regular usually 8-12 weeks on followed by 8-12 weeks off had courses using Deca / Sustanon later Tren / Test E always followed by a full PCT and the last 2 courses I had were Primo only in the region of 500mg per week this was 2 years ago anyway I decided I was going to quit gear and go down the natural route since getting married and at the end of my course foolishly I did no PCT (I have no excuse I am a complete retard)

Anyways since then I always feel crap especially the day after training I noted down a few words as to try to explain the feelings I have been having:

Malaise / Apathetic / Lacluster (worse if I exercise – not just weights)
Do not feel rested after sleep
Fog in the head – lack of concentration
Itchy tingling face
A general feeling of being unwell

I have been to the doctor and explained all of the above on numerous occasions and even changed to a different doctor 3 times at 3 different surgeries had full blood work done many times and nothing shows abnormal only a high CPK level so I was asked to stop training for 2 weeks I then had another blood test and CPK was normal (this was only to ensure it was related to weight training)

The doctor tested my Test levels and they told me they were within normal ranges and would only quote a number of 173 unfortunately the doctors here in England are not the best and when it comes to taking steroids they simple fall short. My sex drive is ok im certainly not as horny as I used to be a few years back but I don’t have any problems getting it up.

I have lived with these horrible feelings for over 2 years now with no lead to finding out what the problem is. I still push myself to go to the gym and always do my best I just thought I would see what replies I get (please no criticism I know I have been stupid in the past)

I await any replies….

If anyone would like any more info please just ask!

Hi Jasondub,

Firstly thank you for your reply

In answer to your question yes I do get very cold hands and feet and since the symptoms I listed started (2+ years ago) I never really thought about it but yes I do get very cold sometimes when I never used to I was always pretty warm nowadays I certainly feel the cold alot more and my hands and feet get extremely cold sometimes.
One thing I forgot to mention is since this started I do also get very bad dry skin on my hands but my dad also gets this so could just be a coincidence.

I had some more blood work done yesterday by my GP a different one who has actually asked for Thyroid to be tested however like I stated the docs here are not very well informed when it comes to this subject.

I dont really want to go down the road of TRT unless absolutely needed due to my age of 32 if I was 50 I would feel differently.

Im not sure what Triptorelin is but ill be researching it now.

I was thinking of maybe starting some clomid to see if I can get things back to normal which is all I really want to do just get back to norm as I dont ever plan on using gear again just training natural and keeping fit.

Thank you again for the response

Forgot to say I never use any stimulants other than a strong coffee or green tea (as a drink not supplement)

Thanks again for the reply seems like ive been searching for answers or a lifetime and what you described in your last post is exactly correct even socialising can be dreadful at times,

I had a heavy back session last night and was really pleased however today I feel like s**t and really tired.

I should have some results from my thyroid blood test today or tomorrow as soon as I have the results I will post them and once they are back I will book another appointment with my GP and get the blood work you mentioned checked and again once inn I will post the results.

Thank you again man! I just so want to get back to normal I was always full of energy very happy and full of life now life seems such hard work and I have to push myself just to get through the days I do have good days but mostly I feel s**t miserable and grumpy and I just hope that I can get this resolved and get the old me back.

Thanks Again!

Hi ok my test results are back and as stated they tested for a few different things I specifically asked for the Thyroid:

Glucose - normal
Gamma GGT & Liver Enzymes – normal
Total Cholesterol – 3.4 (normal)

Thyroid TSH – 1.52

My GP stated that he would only take further Thyroid tests should the TSH have been abnormal and he stated that the TSH is fine and does not require any further investigation.

The GP wants to put me on antidepressants and I have said my test is at a low level 173 but he says that is within normal ranges (Yeah for a 90 year old woman!!!)

Any response is much appreciated

Also just thought I would mention I have hCG / Clomid / Nolva available at my disposal also a couple of things ive used in the past seemed to help my symptoms to a small degree were Tribulus and Magnesium & zinc just though I would mention this.

I never got any tests but felt like shit for quite a while back when doing a deca only cycle without a very strong pct or test in the cycle.... a very stupid thing as well! after not feeling restored I took unleashed for a month and post cycle for a month back to back for 6 months. they made me feel better while using them and after such a long time i felt good again even after stopping. I just recommend natural or herbal type boosters. Something you can run thats good for you so you can take it as long as you want and not risk any other health issues. Id look into st johns wart, mucuna pruriens, or rhodiola rosea all effective mood enhancers that destress. you can also look into foods that have a positive effect on you hormones and negative as well.

Hi JasonD

Again thank you for your reply.

I have made another appointment with my GP at which I will ask for the specific tests you listed and if he will not do them I will just book myself in private and pay for these to be done however this will probably take 2 – 3 weeks.

As soon as I have these results I will post them here.

Question:
Should I hold off and wait for the test results which as I state above may take a while if indeed I can get someone who will do this if I have to go to London it will take me some time due to work commitments ect.

Or should I start taking the clomid as you mentioned above? (unsure)

Also just thought I would mention the last day or so I have been feeling quite well and I have been racking my brain as to anything I have done differently as I have also been training heavy this week which usually makes me feel really ill and then I realised I started a supplement of OMEGA 3 fish oils only 2 days ago @ 1200mg x 3 per day with meals maybe its just a coincidence and im having a couple of good days but thought I would bring it up all the same

Thanks Dude
