Does going through a long posing routine have any advantages? (other than becoming a better poser). I'm thinking maybe flexing hard can stimulate muscles into growing?
 
Actually I'm curious about this also, hopefully someone with some experience will pipe up. I've always felt flexing hard and holding it helped with definition, but I dunno why.
 
isometrics does have adavantages, but as said, it's not going to grow the muscle...

i do a posing routine almost every night before i go to bed...
 
A lot of it is muscle control, contraction, etc. Start at 30 sec, build up to a minute. This is useful if you get evil judges at a competition who like to make you hold it. And also it helps to shape those muscles that you use for competition.
