Portable GPS's's's

I have GPS in my car now and I love it (first time I had ever used it when I purchased this car) and I want to get a portable one for my parents, who are starting to travel a lot more. What is a good one that is pretty inexpensive and user friendly? I hear good things about Garmin

no, this is for my parent's wedding anniversary

they are going on 35 years!

Any handheld that will navigate you to a lat/lon that you can pull from Google Earth, etc ... will work.
