Dang, I just realized something. For my last birthday my dad (who is 69 and not in the greatest health) sent me a check for $42. I was like WTF....how the hell do you come up with 42? It's not like he's poor or that I'm that hard up for money. I know he hasn't read Hitchhiker's Guide To The Universe (and if you haven't you won't get that). I seriously thought he was getting Alzheimer's or something. My birthday was Oct 17 and I just last night realized that was 42 was how old I was when he wrote the check.....he may be very well be losing it but that sucker is still sharper than me.

How stupid can you be...if I was turning, say, 25 and my dad gave me 25 bucks, I'd instantly think "hey good one dad, the amount of money you gave me is the same as my age." If it takes you more than a few seconds to figure out....

When I was 25 that type of thing would be considered cute albeit completely out of character for my dad to do. When you're 42 it's just silly.
