I am not a buddhist, when you label your faith, you limit it in my opinion, there are some buddhist principles that make much sense to me but I am no buddhist, I am just me.
Back to your question, there are 2 main branches of Buddhism, Theraveda(way of the elders, its more of a philosophy than a religion with rules and tenets) and Mahayana which leans toward more religious ritualistic practices. From there you have your branches/cults of buddhism, there are hundreds.
