Has anyone here ever jumped in the ocean on New Years Day in a cold climate ???? I am planning on taking the plunge this year.

I've been swimming in the ocean in Bermuda on Christmas day a bunch of times, but never new years, and never in a cold climate.

when my dad fixed up his house in Rochester back around 96 or so, then I'd sit in the hot tub while it was snowing and then get out and roll around in the snow, and then jump back in the hot tub.
I'm pretty sure that is bad for the heart, but I was probably drunk.

It feels like needles and your breathe is just zapped. Then your whole body just starts shaking uncontrollably and you turn blue! Starfish are warm water creatures

i do it every year at a local bar. they just cut a hole in the ice. you jump in, climb out, and get a t-shirt.
