PO Boxes

Do any of you use them to receive your gear? If so are you ever required to sign for a pack if it does not fit inside the box you have rented? (ex. If they left one of those orange forms instead).

ohhh just go and sign...........what is the worst it can happend.....post master arresting you..........but probably not...........

I never have to sign for packages too big.
If the package is sent via express or other means that require signature I do have to sign.

After I had a pack siezed that was addressed to my home I decided to get a PO box so I just wanted to make sure.

If you think about it what proof is there that I know it's gear? I own my own business and I can't count how many times a week I sign for packages without knowing the contents.

You have to give ID and sign just to rent a PO box.

When I get a package sent to mine that won't fit in the 2x4" little box, they put a slip of paper in there. You take that, wait in line for all the fukin old lady's to buy their stamps, and give it to the grump behind the counter. Whether or not you have to sign depends on how it was sent. Priority mail usually requires a sig. Regular mail that just doesn't fit, they just hand to you.

Or... they'll put a key in your PO box, that goes to one of the other larger boxes, ya know, the ones that look like lockers. Also, I'm always getting bogus mail in my box(usually addressed to someone else), and I always take it to the nice ladies in the office, and they apologize as usual. So, if I do get pinched, it'll be addressed to a different name, and I can always get a witness from the front office to say I'm always getting mail that's not addressed to me. Gotta love postal :D

Yup.I always tell the source "dick head I have a small box much like the one your girl had before I got to it. So make the pack small". Or something like that.

Same at my Post Office, the lockers are big enough to hold years worth of gear bro. I always get a key to the lockers when I order anything through the mail.
