Plunkey

It wasn't about the twins. I didn't post up the details, but through an unusual set of circumstances I'm being converted to one of those ghey-ass all-organic/all-natural diets.

But as a protest move, I'm going to fill a salt shaker with MSG and use it on every dish.

Awww... shit! The MSG is apparently "all-natural" too.

3-250x250.jpg

why are you turning? did Blue bite you :D

My goal is to turn every man/woman and child on EF on to Natural Healing. Then I will start a cult, be your leader and make you all drink Kool Aid laced with paprika

Lol Abby's school uses a chef that's like that lolol

I figure it's good for her to be exposed to all types of people.

and by "unusual circumstance" he means health issue to which his chef had to have a sit down with him about.

hi plunk....weekly "suck it". Get well soon.

And once again you are spectacularly incorrect.

I swear if you ever guessed anything correctly it would be the sign of end of times.

Any stocks you like right now? I'd like to short them immediately.

I wish I could afford to eat all organic its freaking expensive. Grass feed beef is dam orgasmic so is raw organic butter if you can find it.

I remain convinced it's a massive rip off.

For real? You are smarter than that. What's a massive rip off is the fact that we aloud our goverments to let big frams and growers fundamentally fuck up our food supply so badly over the passed 30 plus years. If organic was an FDA standard the price would go down it's supply and demand.

1) If organic was the standard, billions of people would starve due to the productivity implosion that would occur. And even if we tilled every square inch of land to increase production, we'd still run out of water.

2) There are thousands of FDA and European directives that specify competent drug and device testing regimens. Isn't it odd that all these organic food claims circulate yet no one has ever used one of these scientific regimens to test the validity of these claims?

3) And notice how quickly industry will use proper clinical testing to validate a multi-million dollar product? Yet isn't it odd that even though someone proving the safety of organic food would unlock access to trillions of dollars per year in sales, all these greedy corporations don't seem to do the testing?

Lotteries are a tax on people who are bad at statistics.

Organic food is a tax on people who are bad at biochemistry.

We already have billions of people starving to death in other countries so really whats the difference? At least the ones that survived would be healthy far less diseases and less taxing on the health care systems etc.

In Canada you have to be certified organic which requires testing Organic Products - Food - Canadian Food Inspection Agency

The difference is billions more would starve. The reason so many starve now is because the rest of the world can't adopt the higher productivity farming systems like we have in the US and Europe.

As far as being "certified organic"... that's a standard for the organic process. That's far from being clinically tested as safe and effective.

Picture this: I can manufacture hydrogen cyanide (deadly poison) pills to the FDA's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.

But the pills would still kill you because they aren't deemed safe and effective by the New Drug Application (NDA) process.

Huge difference.

It's hilarious to me that all these supposedly greedy, soulless big food companies would all choose to avoid studies showing the safety and efficacy of organic food even though they'd reap trillions of dollars in sales (and profit) if they could show their foods are superior to everyone else's.

ahhh, she's so cute!

As for organic, I am not an extremest, I buy organic when it's on sale. My motto; eat 80% really well, the other 20% don't worry so much.

The world would not starve if all food was organic since we have the means to do it, it's just that the demons like Monsanto would go out of business. Let's keep people sick they say, Keeps pharma nice and rich.
And you know, it's not even about organic. It's about teaching people how to eat right/healthy period.
I saw a woman in the grocery store today with about 10 bottles of pop, cheeses, junk, white breads and tons of slabs of gross friggin meats. All she needs to do is eat some good NON organic real foods and she will be much better off.

Humans are like garbage disposals. Now who's in for a shot of Paprika Kool Aid?

But would they make more? It does cost more to grow and produce organic foods.

I was gonna go with a count chocula but I wanted a cute one for you ^_^
I could have used some paprika for the nan roast I'm making.
Come to the dark side... we have Paprika...

It does cost more to grow organic food. And the land used is vastly less productive using organic methods.

But if you could clinically prove a benefit to organic food, there would also be a huge price premium. Today's food is a commodity whereas food proven to have a clinical benefit would sell as a specialty product.

Why not go back and look at the BMI as well as cancer rates etc before our methods became so much more productive...

I agree that organic is better and plunkey is just acting like this to get a rise.

but, to above post, we are much worse off not because food isn't organic like it use to be. most americans today don't even eat veggies with meals at all. I put blame on diets that consistantly eat shit food

there is nothing like broccoli covered in chiz whiz, haha

oh, and when Americans are ordering Expolosion Salads thinking it's healthy, you know we are fucked

Or we could blame it on cell phones.

Or traffic congestion.

Or home ownership rates (which have also risen.

Or the price of a barrel of oil.

Or the length of the average worker's work week.

How exactly do you correlate higher food production with BMI or cancer?

as we mass produced fats and sugars we've becum moar obese

the 99% are moar obese know than ever before

That's weird... I always thought you had to eat it before it makes you fat.

I guess I should hold off on that sugar cane field in the back yard. It might make my wife gain weight.

tr00

absorbing nutrients through teh o-ring canal isn't very efficient

Yeah, but I had dinner with a doctor the other night who was working the ER when a patient came in with a Fentanyl patch. The catch was they had taken it off their skin, rolled it up and stuffed it up their ass.

They croaked.

& that's why I cut my Fentanyl patches in half before I jam them up my ass

The shit that they use to produce the food chemicals etc how is all that crap good for us seriously? I so far from a tree hugging hippy it ain't funny but that shits just not healthy IMO

Grass feed beef is leaner has far more omega 3 in it than grain feed beef it has on overall better fat profile. Omega 3 reduce your rate of cancer. And if you make me keep arguing with you when I am tired I am going to kick you in the nuts for real :D

BTW I was thinking just now that you and Pick3 probably have the best ebromance I have ever seen so in love awwww:rainbow:

I never said it's good for you. But I do believe it's far less harmful than the organic food lobby would have you believe.

But you make it sound like that's the only place to get Omega 3's in the world. If you're that concerned about Omega 3's, just have a little extra salmon with your next meal.

We do, butt he's the bottom.

no he's not...it just fits his narrative that "everything" organic must be a ripoff. He's CONVINCED he says!! lawls

And the reason is his only organic exposure is whole foods...which indeed is a giant massive anally intrusive ripoff.

wasnt red sam supposed to leave?

Yes, but apparently he can't even do that correctly.

I blame the school system.

... and the fog.

... and poor parenting.

... and bad genes.

... and the progressive movement.

Oh hell, I guess someone who is that big of a screw-up is a little bit of everyone's fault.

I tend to think he's real smart rare I don't agree with him on something to be honest.

I used think organic was some bullshit myself I mean when you think about the term it's a real buz word but shits organic doesn't mean I would eat it.

Anyways I did a lot more reading and trying diffrent organic foods. There is for sure some food that is worth paying the extra for organic and some that it's not worth it at all.

Really? I must have missed that was there a bet of sorts?

You didn't miss much. He made a bunch of bullshit comments about leaving, got called on it, and came crawling back within hours.

We can probably find the post if you'd like, but it's buried deep in a sea of his day-to-day drivel.

Having a proper crop yield is irregardless of pesticide use.

The prefix ir- (i-r) is a negative prefix, so if you add the prefix ir to a word that's already negative like regardless, you're making a double-negative word that literally means “without without regard.”

"Irregardless" is a very popular word among pseudo-intellectuals.

so irirregardless would be correct then, as it makes it positive again?

:D

First the sugar cane, then comes the slaves, yes?

I knew it.

Oooo. White slavery, huh? I'm guessing by the looks of it, it's the sexual kind.

I'm not sure those girls would ever even see a stalk of sugar cane, let alone cut/gather/squeeze it.

Sounds like life in Tennessee is right on track.

It's my personal philosophy post divorce.

I absolutely insist that my wife (or GF, before marriage) live "la vie claire" -- the unobstructed life. My theory (which is working, five years in) is that if you make sure she's got the lowest stress most pleasant life possible, it will pay off in dividends in the bedroom.

I don't need the other stuff. Food can be bought. Housekeepers can be bought too. But there's one thing I really like.

:)

To sum that up....

Happy wife, happy life.

That's very accurate.

But I'm also bad about not taking any shit either.

Plunkey rules:

1) Be sweet all the time.

2) Give it up a lot.

And don't get me wrong. I play by her rules too. It's not a macho thing -- but I'm really big on (1) and (2).

It's a good theory. Relationships work if both people are focused on the things the other person needs to be happy, which are seldom the same things they need themselves.

Right.

And what I've noticed is that when one person isn't getting what they want, they often try to give more of that to the other person. In a lot (if not most) cases, the other person isn't even interested in that.

If your partner treats you well #1 is pretty easy for the most part and #2is also real easy if you feel like your partner treats you right.

You'd be surprised. I've seen a lot of situations where the better the other spouse has it, the more shitty they get.

There's an old saying: "You can get used to any view."

But in general, I agree. If you get (1) in place, everything else should be easy. I'm the beneficiary of that system right now and have been for the last five years.

Aww thats awesome it's working for you.

And yes I agree it's easy for some people to take the other half for granted.
