Thanks for bumping this up macro cleared things up for me!I got mine today but I think im going to use around 6 caps/day.What advice can you give me on this extra choline,hydergine,selegiline etc....?Thanks macro Busa
 
you wont need extra choline, the new version has 150mg of choline dihydrogen citrate (preferred treatment form) per cap. Though if you decide to add lecithin is a good source, lecithin granules are a good additive to shakes.

to answer the question posed via PM each cap contains 1.25mg of galantamine.

hydergine should be used with caution (low dose) as it amplies the effects (liquid is preferable)

selegiline will increase dopamine mainly
 
Thanks again macro! I dont buy into to to many supps but this one has my attention.I will post results when week 3 hits and short-term effects kick in.I think i might just get this stuff by the case.
 
well week one has come and gone! i dont seem to need as much sleep any more.waking up alert after doing derivatives while i sleep,wtf is up with this i like calculus but not that much macro haha!! any way thoughts are more clear and easily obtained.the only thing i dont care for is the fact that its killing my appetite in the middle of my bulking cycle.any suggestions on how to fix this macro?Oh and my girl is on t-rex and is having problems keeping it down with or without food what do u suggest?
 
thanks macro!she has tried before and after meals but not during we will give that a try.she is taking 2 3x/day should she try taking them 1 every few hours spread throught the day or does 2 at a time work better?

if she is experiencing stomach issues, then definitely space them out into single doses. two at a time does not work better, its just more intense. total dose through the day is more determinative of effectiveness.
 
i bought a bottle a few months ago..just started taking today....took 2 wiht my dinner and taking 2 before bed....ill post up any progress i notice.....is it necisarry to take 2 3X a day or stick with the recc dose @ 2 2X ED

4 caps a day is sufficient for most people. Some people like to use an "attack" dose of 6 caps per day (to get plasma and tissue levels up quickly- particularly for piracetam- 2-oxo)- though its not neccessary.
 
I just got my neurogenex and was excited to take some. I took on a relatively empty stomach (not too full). This was the first time i touched the stuff. I went to school the next day and was ridiculosuly sick. I was naseous but also my stomach hurt like hell and i had to leave early. I had diarhea and general achyness all over my body. I went straight to bed, and it's been about 24 hours since I took it. I still feel pretty shitty. I am afraid to take this stuff again. I have once used a product with bioperine in it and it made me feel very ill (I puked). Is it possible to return (i've used 3 pills) the product? Any suggestions. I was super excited to get my brain into alert mode but all it did was completely waste an entire day for me. At one point in class I thought I was going to puke , then i was like f-this and I went home and went into bed.
 
If you react to bioperine like that then I suggest you return your Neurogenex. We haven't had anyone else report that in the 3 years it's been sold. Allergies are widely not understood by the medical community so you may just want to remember to check the ingredients of your supplements since this is one ingredient that is very common.

I'm going to try taking 1 pill (I took 3 the last/first time). If I get the same reaaction I'll return the product.

Any ideas on the MAXIMUM dose? When I took it before I took 3/d most of the time. I took 6/d for a couple of weeks and had much better results so am currently taking the 6. I am also taking DMAE and AlCar separately (basically as much as I can ingest of each-probably 3-5 grams of each per day).

Any thoughts on...8 per day maybe? Would I risk health probs at that dose?

8 per day should be fine. most common side effects of too high a dose are nauseau (cholinergic), heachache (dopaminergic- typically vinpocetine) and inability to concentrate (ie too much of a good thing has the opposite effect)
 
macro/ulter - without me having to read each and every post here, can you tell me what you have changed in the ingredients (if anything) since this product first came out 2+ yrs ago? What have you increased, decreased, added/removed from the formula?

Lumberg says he experiences a little bit of calming overall, but he says it doens't make that much of a difference as far as performance in his computer programming.

One thing he said he noticed is that during moments of mental stress while competing in athletic events, he remains more in control and his decision making, like what pass to make when playing basketball, etc.

He says he sees a real use for it in pro sports....could you imagine a pro QB on Neurogenex vs one who wasn't? Huge advantage right there.

There is another supplement, Kava-Kava, which is supposed to do the same thing, but doesn't, in his experience.

Macrophage, I wonder how accurate this feedback is since many people want to be down with the mods and it's clear what you'd like to hear.

Of course I understand that dynamic, I'd want to hear good results, too; and I mean no quarrell by asking this. But, realistically, how genuine is this feedback, empirically speaking?

It seems that, especially with an over the counter cocktail that so directly and immediately affects the chemical composition of the brain, it's extremely important to gather unbiased data.

I should also add that I'm taking the supplement right now, so I'm by no means against it.
 
there is always going to be some bias, though actually quite a bit of the positive feedback comes from people that dismissed it out of hand because of biases against. The class of persons that takes it to prove that it does not work.
 
I've been on for 3 weeks, no real difference at all.

Been taking 8 pills a day, 4 morning, 4 night, nothing.
 
Hey macro was thinking of adding ALTYR to my neurogenex regimen what dosage would be appropriate? and should it be taken on an empty stomach also?
 
Well I've been on 4 daily since July 25th. I want to know when to expect the 2-oxo to illicit it's effects. I've noticed that I can and do keep up with complex materials in class. I passed my advanced economics course (A-) yes!

I believe that I would have passed it regardless with or without the Neurogenex but not receive the grade I did. The real test of the effects comes on Sept 30th. I hope at least three weeks before then the 2-oxo kicks in so I can truly quantify the results.

My thoughts are far more lucid I'll tell you that. I love how this makes me feel and the tingling is really nice. And those dreams are W-I-L-D!! From my understanding, nobody dreams in color. However, our minds and recall equate colors in our subconscious to normally distributed color scemes in our conscious. For instance, we know that blood is red (well I have theories on that..) but in our dreams it's black and white. But since in our minds we know it to be red we substitute the black and white with color upon any recollection.

Any damn way this stuff is great as it is now.

But wait....

What happens when the 2-oxo chimes in?

Just being straight here: at first I loved the effects but it pretty quickly made me begin to feel pretty nuts; almost a bipolarish sort of panicky feeling. As soon as I discontinued use the "nuts" feelings and thought patterns quickly subsided.

Actually, I'd like to return my second bottle.

My other products from the same company, however, I have nothing but praise for. I think I may have suffered from an idiosyncratic response...
 
perhaps a low dose, the effects of too much nootropic stimulation (likely of a single neurological metabolite/aspect) can be like that. Though you are right its not a common reaction to neurogenex.

of course, AF will take care of you. Just email or call them.
 
note- some people who have anxiety, which is somewhat similar to your described symptoms, find the opposite. It really depends on individual brain chemistry and response. Neurogenex is designed to be as "friendly" as possible to all users, but because of individual variances it will not be well suited for everyone (just most everyone :) )

Ok macro, just got the stuff last week and I love it....gave me a great kick from the start? I also feel it helps with anxiety thus far...I been on it for 5 days now and love it...
