What in the world does your screen name mean? It's boggled me for a long time, and it comes to and end now, or so I hope.

What, as is some direct meaning?

I thought of it 6 years ago while in a vampire role playing game at a party. Plornive was a vampire destined for an inopportune and heinous destruction - not tragic because that would actually be a positive thing. He had black tentacles and the power of obfuscation. He constantly made foolishly bold and teasingly morbid attempts on other vampires livelihoods until he was put into a trance by a very powerful vampire (the storyteller just got sick of him). It isn't known what came of him exactly, but it is thought that he was destroyed.

I used to attempt to play Vampire RPG with my friends but it usually just turned into lots of smoking and drinking and bullshitting.

Yeah... no one seems to really like the sound of the name. plorny, pornive, liveporn. Some people suggested "Plor".

"plor" is something like explore, also indicating some kind of penetration from the sound of it. "nive" adds some kind of tangible pathogenesis to it. That's how it was composed, really.
