Natural selection is a scientific fact. A theory becomes a scientific fact when it is shown to fit with real data in all relevant instances.

I believe in evolution by natural selection --- it seem extremely likely to me and I will make any relevant decisions based on this likelihood.

I don't have faith, I have statistical confidence. I open my mind to all possibilities all of the time.

You may want to re-read Gould's work on natural selection. It's a convincing argument that natural selection has been overstated in evolutionary theory since there is practically no record of transitional fossil species.

I'm very curious about this statistical evidence.

Out of all of the posts I made in this thread, the one on evolution is the one I kind of want to amend.

I am not a biologist. I only wanted to say that belief in evolution need not be "faith". This really doesn't have that much to do with evolution, but belief systems.
