Drama already wondered how long it would take.

The Admin and Mods of Elitefitness have chosen who they want to nominate to be on the team that help run the board for the benefit of the members. Their criteria for picking the names is their decision but then they have given the members to the choice to pick. I have never seen that on a board before and do applaud them for it.

I have been a member here at Elite for 5 years reading then posting but does that make me a Mod here? NO and rightly not the decision is down to the members and as can be seen from the voting above there are quite clearly 3 other members who the members feel will do a better job than me which i agree with 100%.

I applaud Elite for their approach to this and really can not see Shortstack why the need for drama? If you do not feel any of the names can offer what you require from a Mod then just abstain and do not vote. if you feel one will then vote but why drama?

Also some of the names you mention should have been nominated by the Admin team and Mods may have had reasons why they were not (i.e. criteria or personal). I for one nominated one and sure the Admin and Mods agree was a clear candidate but he was not in a position to accept even a vote as he was set to go travelling.

This site is all about outspoken views but not creating drama for drama sake as just no need for it and it spoils it for the ones winning the vote.

Best of luck to the top two in the final results you will do an excellent job and you have the backing of the members.

Yep good post. I do think many members have been passed up that I though would have been excellent mods but for one reason or another they never made it. The 4 we are voting on are also good.

Thanks to everyone who voted. There are so many member that are amazing here. I would argue that our Platinum Members are as a whole much more well informed than most Mods on the other forums out there.

If you do not see members here that were nominated and are long time, well respected members of our site, it could be for several reasons.

1. EliteFitness.com Moderators cannot be involved in any dubious activity.

2. EliteFitness.com Moderators cannot be Moderators or Admins of other bodybuilding sites.

3. In selecting Moderators, special preference is given to Platinum Members.

4. Special consideration is given to the opinions of our existing Moderators on who should be nominated.

5. And, hard as it may be to believe, some people indicated that they did not want the job.
