Please help on wireless connection

Hey guys

I just setup a wireless network with the linksys router 2.4 ghz

went through the whole installation CD, named my network, used 64 bit encryption and put in a password

when I try to connect to the network, it says it requires a password but it doesn't ask me for it, it just says it can't connect me to it

how do I get it to ask me for the password and connect? i'm using windows XP

thank you...

If I'm trying to get super cut up and hot for September, would it be better for me to up my tapioca pudding intake or add more flailing around in public to my current diet/training routine?

go to network connections, right click the wireless connection, properties. Somewhere on there, there should be a tab where you set all the wireless parameters (ssid, password, encryption setting, channel ,etc...)

Can anyone other than Raina help me?

With or without awkward kicking motions?

I was reading an old HappyScrappy thread yesterday about how he adds tri kickbacks into everything he does. That sounds like a good idea.

And I was planning to use the tapioca pudding topically. I don't want to eat it.

girl you are too funny. but i vote flailing.... yes definately flailing.... wait, what the heck is flailing?............oh never mind, i got it....oooooooo im telling... lol

I was thinking that making various loud barnyard animal noises might be helpful too. But only big buff animals like cows and stuff. I don't want to be flailing around quacking.

You set up the password that the router would accept to allow access. Now you have to tell Windows what that password is to so you can connect.

Go to your control panels and open up your "Network Connections" then double click on your wireless network cards "connection" There should be a place in there to set up the "WEP encryption" password.

At this window:

http://www.utdallas.edu/ir/cats/network/wlan/8021x/winxp/wlanpropswaterview.jpg

Make sure "Key is provided for me" is UNchecked. Then put in the password in the "Network Key" boxes.

nevermind, spent an hour on the phone with a russian dude and he helped me get it to work!

man, russians are so much better on tech support than the indians, no offense to any of our international friends. First I got an Indian named "Lucy" and she could barely speak to me unless it was reading one of the lines out of her book.
