Plateau on strength 3/4 through cycle help!!

I'm running 500/w sust and 500/w test e now I realize that either one of these two is usually run as a staple along with another anabolic but I havent seen the two run together is this because they are both basically doing the same thing?

My problem is this...strength

I've gained about 20lbs (170lbs-190lbs) this cycle and have 3 weeks left(11 week total) so even if it was all over and done with now I could say it was well worth it but im seriously lagging in the strength department..I go to the gym 5 days a week and workout heavy, usually only get to 6 on the last set of anything but in the last 2-3 weeks I havent seen any strength gains and its seriously messing with my motivation. I just started running the test e about a week and a few days ago and its just kicking in but not in the way I was hoping...its more like instead of strength its giving stamina so at the end of my workout im looking for more things to do.

Is it usual to plateau while on a cycle? if anybody else has can you tell me how long it took to break it?
 
If I read this correctly (Im blazed, not sure if Im reading right) you're using 1g Test/wk and sound "newbeeish'" (just a term, not an insult)

just thought about what you said and almost replied that I stated im only doing 500/w of test but of course now that you put it that way I see your correct.
 
i felt guilty about juicin when i had reached 200 lbs all natty but u started at 170? i hope ur short...def wouldnt wanna jump to a gram of test untill i had expieremented on how 500-750 effected me

im 5'9 and have been on 500/w sust for 8 weeks before adding test e
 
The gains are gonna stop at some point, and with the Sus, you got a little bit of a head start, as far as gains with slower esters. I'm thinkin a chage in program is what you really need. Read the thread by madcow in the Training Forum. Lots of good stuff to get you back on track and in the right direction. You could possibly be startin to overtrain at this point as well. Could be a variables to this equasion.
 
I don't understand why you decided to do test e last? I think you should have started with the test e first because of the long acting esters IMO
 
1g of test for what appears to be your first cycle, and adding the test-e 8 weeks in? You could have planned this out a lot better bro. Not flaming you, just calling it like I see it. I would try upping the cals and changing your routine as others mentioned. If that doesn't work then call it cycle...20 lbs isn't bad.
 
If I'm not mistaken, I believe I've seen Radar say, a number of times that his gains usually cease around week 8 and after that he feels like he's just on for the sake of being on.

Based upon that, I'd say your experience is not unusual.
 
My summer cycle died at 8 weeks too - my cycle was 11 weeks total, but I think I gained 3 pounds in the last 21 days, and at 8 weeks all the sides came. (zits, cramps, bloat.)

I won't tell you to stop and begin PCT now, but if I could have done it over again, that is what I would have done.

It truly depends on what you are training for. If you want size then you got that (20 pounds), but if you want strength to keep going up exponetially, it isn't going to happen. At some point your body has to slow down in the strength department or we would all be squating 500lbs for reps within a few months. So now you have plateaued strength wise and without all your info I will assume you have been doing to same routine the whole time? Now switch it up...go to a 5 x 5 routine or something if you want your strength to go up. Believe me it works. I switched to it at around week 10 and now am just starting week 5 of my program and my bench for 5x5 has gone up 295 to 320, squat 295 to 335, and deadlift are just ridiculous!

So switch it up and it will be a nice bridging routine for keeping your strength a little when you come off during your PCT.
 
I was just going to say overtraining, possibly. Whenever I feel myself start to "plateau" or burn out I change my workout routine. Increase cals, decrease cardio a little, and try different lifts with different reps and sets. Try adding a thermo right before you lift maybe? Ephedrine always did the trick for me.....just my $.02
 
Yeah, ephedrine for me always boosts my workout. I use it always when I am off and I swear, sometimes I feel like I'm on with ephedra because I can lift crazy poundage and I would feel like I was mid-cycle. Good stuff, it'll help.
 
the reason why im just doing test e now 8 weeks in is because initially it was supposed to be a 10 week cycle 500/sust through the whole thing and 30(something)/d of dbol for 4 weeks to kick start but I realized my math was wrong when I got my sust and had to reorder. The guy I go through only takes orders over a certain dollar amount so I had to add things so I bought the test e for any future cycle I might do. Well after I started to plateau that test e started looking better and better...im not proud of myself and after realizing im basically just doubling my dose I feel pretty dumb but I feel ike im into it now and I mine as well finish it up.

thanks for the advice about mixing it up...my boss is a bb and suggested the same thing so im gonna take that advice and read up on what the 5x5 entails
