It is simply derived from the following equation.

PM(w)= PC/PPR

Where: Pm(w)= Puddle Monkey Weight, PC= Post Count, PPR= Post Pound Ratio (25.05)

You plug the numbers in and come out with ~2000lbs...AKA 1 ton!
