plastic surgery to remove scar from an abcess

I have a scar on my leg due to a infection from injecting and created an abcess, its on the side of the tigh and when Im posing on stage I feel kinda shy because of it so I want to have a plastic surgery. I went to a plastic surgeon in Brazil and he told me its really simple to remove my scar. It will become a light color straight line and after the surgery I can apply silicone gel so the line can disapear almost completely. any of you guys know someone that had a plastic surgery to remove an abcess scar? THANKS!!!
