Good workout tonight.

Yoke Squat from bottom (beltless, 10-12" ROM)

These were cool... didn't feel like they were taking much out of me, but at the same time, they did... was also cool to have that much weight on my shoulders.

Speed Bench

135 + blue bands, 8 sets x 3, rotating grips

Hip Abductor/Adductor work on the girl machines

DB Floor Press
60x12
70x8
70x10

Abs, Calves

was pretty strong... another PR to add to the books.
 
good work bud............. that yoke squat sounds like fun........ keep the big numbers coming.

congrats on the pr man...i like the yoke squats too..i'm gonna have to try those when i get back in the gym next week.

I really like doing both DE/ME exercises in one workout. This way, we're doing 2 good powerlifting workouts a week, which allows us to do a good olympic lifting workout and a HARD events day... so far things are progressing well.
 
I'd have a rough time staying mentally UP for doing both... Don't see how you guys can do both...

I get more gains from the little exercises that go with the main move than the main move itself. For example...I do speed bench and then increase my press by doing all the other things (board press, tate presses, jm presses, lats, dbell cleans, etc...). The big mistake that I have made for most of the summer is leaving out those accessory exercises...
