PL/OL/BB which for longevity

I'm jsut sittin here between classes and was pondering on what style of lifting will actually benefit the lifter from a longevity and health standpoint. I would think that bodybuilding would be the best for longevity, but I don't think I could go through life stressing the eccentric and training my muscles to be slow, as I know the best for athletes would be a mixture of PL and OL, and I know lifting heavy is supposedly good for bone structure, so would it possibly be that cycling periods of eah would be best?

im with CCJ on this one. Why neglect the benefits of these styles of lifting. i do the 3 core lifts, bench squat and deadlift for strength. I also do push press and power cleans for explosiveness. Also if i want to focus on speed, i will loop my bands on the bar and have a pure speed day (ie. powerlifting.)

and belive it or not, im actually a competition bodybuilder. im getting ready for a show in August. But i also do some higher rep sets and positions of flexion workouts.

get the best of all three worlds........... but not to leave out my friend b-fold, there is also strongman training. (but that is not for the timid), but extremely fun.
