So, here I am, 6 days into my DBol/Var/Primo cycle on the way to the gym after a great shoulder day yesterday ready to tear up the bi's and tris knowin that the Dbols gonna kick in any day now....

I get to the gym and low and behold....It's damn near empty, theres NO barbells, a stack of 45's and dumbells from 75-100.....

WTF, the camp here(Kuwait) closes in a week then I move to another one, but that means that I loose a whole FUCKIN WEEK and knowin that the gears about to kick in DOES NOT help....

Im just really irratated and had to vent, sorry....Maybe some karma will change my bad fortune, lol

You'll have to just go a week without the bars. Use the DB's as much as you can. It won't hurt you too bad. When you finally move to the new camp take out your frustration on the weights and make up for lost time.
 
Shit, they took the DB's today, FUCK, Im cuttin my DBol dosage down to 25/day till I get there, then I'll bump it back up to 50....In the meanwhile I guess I'll have to have my buddy sit on my fuckin back n shit, DAMN THIS SUCKS

Love it or hate it. If you do much traveling in the military you will see we are very lucky. I understand your frustration, but on the other side of the coin THE VERY BEST gyms I have used have been on bases. Camp Pen, Pearl Harbor, Even on the USS Tarawa. 2000 square feet of kick ass equip. Just suck it up and worry about what is important right now. that is watching your ass and taking care of your brothers in arms. DO waht you can. You are not gonna be mr. O till you get out anyway:-) So be the best Soldier you can be for now so you can keep yourself, and your people alive. THAT means Cardio as well as strength. RUN!! push ups and pull ups, Crunches, Sissy squats...There is a ton you can do. If you are "on" you will see improvement.

Be positive You may NEED it.

push ups chin ups.........what about using sandbags or machinary/ammo boxes for curls overheads, side/front raises, bent over rows....flat presses, lay on the ground and bench stuff........use your imagination bro.......do farmers walks deadlift heavy ass boxes etc etc theres gotta be alot of heavy shit on a military.........

You can see what they did. they made weights out of MRE boxes. make it happen. If you can't be creative in this little instance what will you do when it really counts bro. QUIT bitching, you are in a WAR DUDE. Like it or not. It wont mean shit!!! When you get hit.

Like I said I understand your frustration. But on another level you really PISS me off.

You are in KUWAIT. I been there twice. You are
worried about weights??? We were worried about life. And our war was nothing like this one. You have you whole LIFE to get pumped. I do also understand that working out keeps your mind clear and focused. There is plenty you can do. Figure it out.

You can FRY your shoulders, tris, and chest with a deck of cards and push ups, do you know how???
 
Change your priorities as far as your physique

Get as ripped as you can by using the juice to hold onto the muscle mass..... You won't regret that when you get back and can hit the gym hard with some good equipment.

AND by the way, did you not know you were going? Did you expect to go to war and have a local Gold's available? I am sorry. It is the marine in me.

Just suck it up , motivate those around you. The negative attitude hurts more than just yourself and if you are bitching over the weights I bet it is not all the complaingin you are doing. THAT is going to get your buddies killed when it counts bro.

BE POSITIVE and MOTIVATED whether you want to or not for yourself and your fellow soldiers. Trust me THIS time in your life whether you come under fire or not will haunt you forever.

I'm not in the military & I have access to a cushy gym, however some of the best leg training I ever did involved pushing a Chevy Suburban back & forth across a parking lot. Got any Humvees laying around?

No offense cause I appreciate all the good advice, but attitudes like yours, the whole "suck it up" speeches are a good part of the reason that I walk in 171 days.....
 
Well,the military life isn't for everyone. I'm a former devildog as well. I would caution you by saying the grass is not always greener on the other side though. As much as the military machine sucks at times,you may miss a lot of it when you go. People that want to serve are definitely not a dime a dozen. Good luck over there.

Get a buddy and take turns drawing cards. Do the corresponding number of push ups, or whatever , keep going back and forth. Jacks are 11 queens 12 etc... keep going all the way through the deck. You can get some good negatives too just by having a partner add resistance to your back when doing pushups etc.. or you can increase the resistance of all the push ups in that manner.
 
im familiar with card PT, I've been in the army for 5 1/2 years....I spent the summer of 99 in Albania and I've been over here for 7 months now....when I was in Iraq for 5 months, right after my first cycle there was no gym and I let myself go, lost 20 pounds....Got back here and thought I had it made, been liftin again for 2 months, strengths comin back, started another cycle and BAM, gyms gone....It's just frustrating, I know what it takes for me to grow, and that's lots of heavy weights, sure I can get creative, but it's not the same......Sorry if I came off soundin like a little bitch, and appreciate all the ideas, I REFUSE to let myself wilt away again...thanks again...PEACE

At least in my own experience. It is the same shit on the outside, but then they have your JOB and livelyhood to hold over your head without the security. When your screwed out here your just screwed bro. At least for the Marines and Navy there always was a support system, Navy Relief etc... Do not be surprised if you find yourself considering going back sometime within say 4 years of being out. Especially with your experiences. You do not understand yet how hard you will find it to relate to coworkers etc.. that have not been through the same shit. they don't understand our sense of humor, all kinds of things. TRUST ME!!!! I would take a 35k a year paycut to go BACK TOMORROW and am actively pursuing it. I am sure everyone is different , it depends on what you get into out here.

i hear ya, and I've heard that from a few people, but I KNOW that I will be happier, the military has really made my life miserable....sure I've met a lot of REALLY cool people and seen a lot of shit, but it's not for me anymore....BTW, I HATE PT!!, lol
 
OK, I feel better now...I forgot that some folks "borrowed" a set of 65's from the gym a while back, so I grabbed them and a makeshift bench and went at it....Didn't even count sets or reps, just concentrated on squeezin the shit outta my titties till i couldn't do no more...AHHHHHH

Tommorrow I'll lift my privates.....Maybe my soldiers too ;)
 
LOL. Remember the tough old bastards in WWI and WWII. THEY are the reason we enjoy freedoms today. Some of our "tough as nails" grandfathers had to stay in Germany for over 2 years AFTER the war was over to prevent Nazi terrorist uprisings. Throughout history, no superpower has reigned over the world forever. The Roman Empire should have ruled the entire earth. Is it still here? Nope. Napoleon? Gone. Every superpower falls. Unfortunately, the U.S.A.'s time of ruling will also end. Why? Because we have taken everything for granted. We're lazy. We're spoiled. Yeah, we're ready to fight.....for a few months. After that we're bored or tired and ready to quit. It makes me sick to hear all of the winers from the government LEFT to the worried parents about their "babies" fighting in the Middle East. Now you hear it from the soldiers themselves on T.V. Of course I'm sure the media loves to find the pansies that are crying to come home and put them on T.V. Am I fighting in Iraq? Hell no. You know why? Because I wasn't willing to take the government's "free ride" in the reserves for the remote possibility of war. So for those that got Reservist pay for all those years of "weekend warrior" paint ball bullshit, now it's time to pay dividends.

Just a rant. Enjoy your freedoms now. There is no way our military can keep us the most powerful nation in the world. It's not our military's fault, it's our own culture that has brought us down.
