I used 23x1 for eq with no problems but the oil fills the syringe pretty slow. If you run hot water over it for a min or 2 it will flow a bit easier.

Try getting some 18g needles to draw first, then put on the needle you'll inject with. Run hot water over the syringe before injecting.
