Pics of our kitten - new addition to the "family"

This one was found a month ago underneath our back porch. The neighbors have an outdoor cat that was trying to kill this kitten. We took her in. Took our male cat about 2 days to get used to her, took our female a few extra days.

The last stray we took in I gave to a friend 2 months ago. It was a full grown, declawed, spayed female. She didn't get along with our 2 cats and is a lot happier as an only cat. Coincidentally, the friend I gave the last stray to is the one that stood us up last night. Nice, huh?

Anyway, here's Pepper -

Tiger loves playing with Pepper. Of course, Tiger is lazy as fuck and remains laying down 90% of the time, so it works out good for him. They just roll around on the floor biting each other and holding each other down.

No pics of Ariel playing with Pepper yet. She loves playing with Pepper because Pepper will actually chase her around, unlike Tiger.

i got a kitty and shes soo cute too

lol nice, looks like ours but yours is twice as fat

None of our cats are fat. Ariel is maybe 10lbs, Tiger was 9lbs when I weighed him a few months ago. Tiger has a shitpod of hair, damn long hair cats, so he looks a lot bigger than he really is. His tail looks HUGE until you realize it's all hair.

Actually, I think Tiger is getting heavier. We had to switch cat food because Tiger was throwing up all the time. Now he's eating twice as much and keeping it down.

Awwww sooo adorable!

So, question -- do you think boy cats adjust to new kittens faster than girl cats?

It makes me want to get a kitten for my tubby kitty. CC is a fat male of 13 years and 16.5 lb of love & flab. Since I moved to a "townhouse community" from my place on the canal in Florida, the cat has become even more sedentary, given the absolute lack of excitement around the house & out the windows. I feel bad for him cuz he's such a happy lovable cat. But he's never lived w/ other kitties and I've been afraid that another cat would just make him start peeing all over the house. Between work & contest prep right now I'm not home for about 12 hrs / day and I sleep w/ door closed cuz the cat likes to come in & shed on my face all nite. This makes my apparently dormant cat allergies activate.

Damn makes me think about it.....

Our male has adjusted faster to the last 3 cats we've taken in. However, he's young, only a year and a half old. Our female is just over 3 years old. Our female is kind of skittish though, she's very alert and always watching what's going on. When it comes to other cats, she hangs back for a few days and observes what they're doing. She loves to run around and play, so anything that's active enough to keep up with her (our male is lazy as shit) she'll play with once she's comfortable with the situation.

The last full grown cat we brought in (and got rid of) was female and the 2 females did not get along at all. The other female was very nasty to ours, but she was cool with our male.

Dunno how an older cat would react. I would think it wouldn't be good, but who knows. Gf's grandmother has 3 cats. I think the 2 older ones are both under 10 and they're a few years apart. The third is 4 years old now. None of her cats get along. They don't really fight, they just don't get near each other if they can help it.

I take kittens from the humaine society and have a 15 year old male. He's always come around within a week. Your cat will appreciate a friend I'm sure. I'd get another male though.....tends to work better.

Cats are very intriguing. I can watch my Maxx-y-pad all day... as long as he's not sleeping. good looking cats you have there
