my bad i just signed on again... and i did all that karma giving in a hurry i may have accidently hit "disapprove" lol serious. if i did just let me know

those are all nice man. i'd go with one of the SUVs, likely the X5.

ya, heard x5's provide a great ride and almost never run into mech issues
yeah, also they have luxury features, but are still rugged enough for the mountains.

hah, good point... not too many mountains down in miami, but im def considering it based on reliability and good feedback.

Ahh Miami? I'd probably go Sedan then man. And if you are going to go Sedan, in that price range, you can get a used M5! That's on my list right now. 2002 M5's run 30-35K which is what I'm looking to spend for my next set of wheels. I pretty much have it narrowed down to a brand new Lexus is250 AWD or the 2002 BMW M5, OR possibly an X5.

th only thing about the awd--and i have two-- is that it sucks gas and loses bit of hp b/c of the nature of the diffferentials. that said, i would not trade mine for the world (w/studded snows I can drive up the side of a cliff) unless i lived someplace warm--like miami

yeah, I hear ya, that is why I like the AWD Sedans (is250, G35, 330xi). They get a little better gas mileage than the SUVs. Not as much overall HP in most cases though, but a lighter vehicle overall.

seems like #1 youre looking for a quick car and #2 youre partial to bmw
im a benz guy more than bmw (but the quality is very close)
if youre in that price range and want a speedy car i gotta say check out a 2004-2005 benz c55 amg. heres a link to one of em for sale.

I know it seems like I'm BMW centric, but I'm not! I actually would like to stay AWAY from it if possible. BMW has a stigma. People think you are pretentious, full of yourself, etc. Drive a BMW and don't expect anyone to cut you any slack on the road, forget about people letting you in, etc.

I like the benz, their entry level models just don't do it for me. I test drove their coupe, not sure what its called but not AWD and overall pretty crappy, small hatchback thing. Always seemed like everything else was out of my range $$ wise.

I really like that c55 AMG though! I could see myself in something like that. Gas mileage is ok, to be expected for a v8 and all those horses. I should drive one to see how it rides.

lol yea i dont even consider that hatchback to be a benz at all... dont even know what its called. c (only the amg), cl, cls, s, sl, m all the legit benzinos.

def test drive it man you might be impressed.

c55 is sweet-- i want the amg s65--but it is too close to the price of my house and its hard enough getting cash from my wife to buy 10 lbs of whey protein so no s65 in my future
