Just trying to make you think. Pick the song that "you" think is their best. Yes, only one song per. Told you that you would have to think. Instrumentals are allowed. Here's what I think.

Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven

Aerosmith - Kings and Queens

Judas Priest - Better By You, Better Than Me

Black Sabbith - War Pigs

Van Halen - Bottoms Up

Motley crue - Too Young to Fall in Love

The Eagles - Hotel California

Dio - The Last in Line

Slayer - Raining Blood

AC/DC - Sin City

Alice Cooper - Billion Dollar Babies

Iron Maiden - I tried but there's way too many awesome songs, good luck.

Scorpions - Passion rules the Game

Queensryche - I Don't Believe in Love

G-N-R - You Could Be Mine

Jimi Hendrix - Hey Joe

Kiss - God of Thunder

Megadeth - Tornado of Souls

Ozzy - Killer of Giants

Pantera - The Sleep

Pearl Jam - Garden

Rage Against the Machine - Renegades of Funk

Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the Devil

Ted Nugent - Fred Bear

Metallica - Orion

Feel free to start a part two.

You should go ahead and start now. Geoff Tate has an excellent voice.

I've been meaning to check out Operation: Mindcrime. Every time I'm at the ol' CD store, I forget to look, or there's none in stock.

That's actually what they are going to be performing and a sneak peak of their new album Operation Mindcrime II.

Not to keep taking this thread off topic, but Queensryche is gonna be here in 2 or 3 weeks...I'd love to go see 'em, but I don't know of anyone around here who is interested.

Also, FZ, hit me up on Yahoo about Op:Mindcrime.

I wonder if his voice is as good as it was 14 years ago.

I saw a live show of theirs on tv about a year and 9 months or so ago and he still sounded amazing then - can't say for sure how he is now though.

I knew there would be many bands/artists that could be on the list, I even left many off to keep the list short and to give you the opportunity to make a "Pick the best...Part two", don't forget about Maynard. Thanks ppl. True music lovers.

Huh? You lost me.

Manowar are the Kings of Metal. I was just joking that you made a metal thread without mention to the undisputed greatest METAL band of all time (and if you have a different opinion, it's wrong, and you're not metal ;) )

Bah. I don't find many metalheads that get my Manowar humor the first time around anymore. I think I'm getting old or something. :worried:

Hail and Kill !!

Manowar formed in 1980, so any band that happened to exist before 1980 doesn't count. Metal did not exist before Manowar.
