Just eat clean!!!
From my experiences:
When I first started to take weightlifting/diet seriously I was caught up in ratios, bulking vs cutting, and all that little shit, just like you. I would bulk for a while (of course not a clean bulk) then go on a cutting diet; just to lose the fat I gained during my bulking diet, only to end up right where I started. Of course I was making some gains, but nothing like I anticipated. I always wanted to maintain a certain leaness, which really wasthe reason I was making aany progress
Recently, I got sick and tired of being caught up with all the details and decided to train heavy and eat as much as I can cleanly. At first, I expected to gain a lot of fat with all the calories I was eating- I was eating around 4000 calories a day. But to my suprise after 16 weeks of not watching how much I ate and instead just monitored the types of foods I ate, the results were astounding. My lifts have all improved exponentially, lbm has steadily increased, and my bf has barely increased at all. My advice to you is to do exactly this
There's no way you should think about cutting, leave that to the pros. I think you're in the same boat as me and want to look like the guys on health magazines, not too big big but a little size and cut. Just train hard, eat clean (no exceptions) and I promise you will be happy with the results. Worry about cutting and all those other details later. I know it's been said before, but the more lbm you have the easier to it'll be to cut.
Trust me, I totally understand where you're coming from when you say "I'm afraid I may put all the fat back on before i even start building any muscle! " I was the same way. But the only way that'll happen is if you eat the wrong foods, not because you're eating more. THere's no reason to not start taking creatine, it will only help, there's no reson to wait. It's not gonna "blow" you up, although I wish it would...lol.
If you need any help with your bulking diet don't hesitate to ask...pm me
