I like to heat my oil before shooting. My usual method is to take a plastic cup, fill it with water, stick it in the microwave for about a minute and a half to get close to boiling temperature, take it out and drop my vial of oil in it and wait a few minutes.
My question is this -- assuming a 50mL vial that's about 2/3rds full of oil, and a plastic juice glass that contains 4 fluid ounces of water, how long should it take for the oil and water to reach equilibrium?
