Have not had ample reason to gain mastery since few people wanted to spend serious money in the past few years while I get to play with my computer. The improving economy is changing that.

I have noticed that a lot of EF'ers are pretty competent with Photoshop. What motivated you?

Several people warned me not to really .get into Photoshop but now I have to. I was pretty good at several things but now I must be able to do more involved shit. Trying to win a bid on shooting and designing a CD cover.

well, it's pretty much my job.....

it does take time to get good with it, but doing it day in, day out you get good pretty quick.

a good photoshop book helps.

organizing your layers and shit helps, also learning what methods are gonna make things easier is key....otherwise a simple change can become a big pain in the ass.

Photoshop is nice but Paintshop Pro has 80% of the features at 25% of the price. I use Unix so it's the GIMP for me.
