Photoshop CS vs Photoshop Elements...

Who prefers one over the other? Just for digital photography post processing. The CS has a ton more features, but nothing you would ever really use.

For what you are going to do, Elements should be just fine.

If you need to get a little more advanced, download Gimp - it's free open source Photoshop clone. Not as advanced, but good enough for what you want to do.

I wish someone could show me how to use that stuff. I would like to post more pix. All I know how to do is re-size a pic in Microsoft Picture manager, and it only shows up in the post as a thumbnail. How do you guys get the large pix and the moving pix in your posts?

moving pics is gif animation; very easy to do. I like Adobe Photoshop Album (free) for touching up pics and Image Ready for optimizing the size.

Elements will do 60% of what CS will do.

Mastering CS is impossible, being very competent with it takes several hours/week. Its a monster.

Version 3 is better that version 4, by reading the feedback on amazon.

I've been using CS for quite some time now... it's pretty easy to learn if you search for guides on google.
